Resilience is great, of course. Being able to go through struggle after struggle while remaining head strong and focused is a very admirable trait. However, the only way to be truly resilient and actually benefit from it, is to allow yourself to FEEL. Being strong isn’t just stuffing things down and pressing on. True strength comes from being honest with yourself about the pain you have endured and in letting yourself break down your walls and cry. It takes a lot of strength to admit to yourself that you are hurting and that you need rest and need time to process everything you have been through. Pain without processing is only ever going to cause more pain. If you ever want to really break your patterns, you need to allow yourself to cry, to be messy, to be embarrassing, and to feel whatever tf you need to feel. Nothing lasts forever, including these dark times. So allow yourself to move through it, without trying to sprint towards the light.
True resilience starts with feeling
